Wedding Day Domestic Assault

Around 11:30pm on Wednesday, Dec. 1 South Kingstown Police were called to 1124 Succotash Road in Jerusalem for a reported disturbance.  The officers were called who met them outside.  Arriving officers immediately noted a purse with all of its belongings dumped out on the lawn.  Police learned that the male and a female counterpart had gotten married earlier that day, and had bought and consumed alcohol to celebrate.  Later in the night an argument escalated into physical violence, and after an altercation the male had been locked outside.  He gained entry and called the police.  After speaking with both parties police identified the male as the aggressor and placed him under arrest.  He was taken to SKPD and charged with felony subsequent domestic assault and disorderly conduct.
